The Salt River High School baseball season has sprung into action. The team played its third game on Thursday, March 5, at Salt River High School against Highland Prep. The Eagles fell short, losing to Highland by one run, with a final score of 5-4. The Eagles are currently 0-4 and have eight games left in their regular season.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how these boys develop this coming year because we have a lot of newcomers. I am looking forward to seeing how far we go,” said coach Kendall Main.

SRHS senior Daniel Parley is in his second year of playing with the Eagles baseball team. Although his favorite sport is basketball, baseball is in his blood and he enjoys playing.

“I look forward to making plays with the team and help the unexperienced players to get ready for their future in the game,” said Parley.

The Eagles’ next home game will be on Tuesday, March 24, at 4:30 p.m.
