"We envision the Cultural Resources Repository as a facility that will be supported, valued and appreciated by current and future generations of SRPMIC members. The artifacts, collections and records contained within Repository will enrich the lives of tribal members by providing tangible evidence of our tribal histories and cultural heritage and will serve as a valuable source of knowledge for future tribal members and Community leaders," said Cultural Resources Director, Kelly Washington.

It was brought to our attention by a reader that we did not provide an exact location for the SRPMIC Cultural Repository in our previous article. The repository will be located behind the old Salt River Day School at Longmore Road and McDowell Road. Currently, there is a lot of construction where the old Day School stands.

We plan to keep our readers updated on the progress of the repository. If you have questions, please email tasha.silverhorn@srpmic-nsn.gov.
